| How can I vary the weight I use when I use household items for my resistance training? You can vary the weight of a household items two easy ways. One way is to use different items for the different exercises and to also change items as you get stronger. Another easy way to adjust the weight you use is to use a type of container that allows you to vary the amount of its contents. Plastic milk jugs, which come in several sizes, are ideal. You can use differing amounts of water to vary the weight. To make things easy, marks can be placed on the outside of the container to note the volume, weight, or exercise each mark represents. Sand or other filler items can be used but water is readily available and very easy to adjust quickly. See our video demos for explanations and demos of "no equipment needed" exercises. The videos are located in the located in the Clients Only section of our website. |
